Farm Visits and Photo Shoots FAQ’s

What should we wear?

We ask all visitors to the farm wear enclosed shoes or gumboots, especially after rain. Dress comfortably and be ready for some dust, drool, or muddy hooves. Hats and sunscreen are always a good idea.

Is the farm pram or wheelchair accessible?

Most of our paddocks are visible from our driveway (gravel) therefore all-terrain prams or assistance may be required, if you are unsure please contact us before your visit and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

Can we bring food and drinks?

You’re welcome to bring light refreshments or let us take care of it for you!

We can cater morning tea, lunch, or afternoon platters through our local Kalbar café, featuring fresh, delicious options made right here in the community (Please refer to our picnic and pat option on our experiences page).

Are bookings required?

Bookings are required for all private experiences, please book directly via our website or contact us directly to secure a time slot.

Can we stay longer than our session time?

Sessions are as per your booked time slot which we try to maintain to ensure other guests aren’t waiting. We do have picnic tables onsite you are welcome to relax before or after your time slot.

Do you cancel for bad weather?

We’ll only cancel if it’s too wet or too hot to run your experience!

If the weather’s looking questionable a Northview Highlands Team Member will be in contact with you to possibly reschedule.

Can we bring pets?

For the safety of our animals and yours, no outside pets are allowed on the farm.

How do gift vouchers work?

Gift vouchers are available for farm visits, private encounters, and photoshoots. They’re valid for 12 months and can be redeemed by contacting us through our website.

Are there toilets on site?

Yes, we have a toilet available for visitors (whilst not the prettiest it does the job).

If you’re visiting with young kids, feel free to bring wipes or a change of clothes, just in case farm fun gets a bit messy!

Any other questions do not hesitate to reach out. We look forward to hearing from you.
